South Africa, particularly the Kruger National Park is a popular destination for birders.
Kruger Park boasts an impressive 570 different species of birds and is thus a prime location for birders, (or twitchers – if you are in the game), to tick many species on their life list.
Kruger has many species that are endemic to the area as well as numerous migrant species.
It is important that you let us know the specific species you are looking for so that we can let you know the best time of year to come and seek out that species.
Birding safaris are generally a relaxed affair, but a Kruger birding safari may require some early mornings and long drives due to the sheer size of the park and different habitats that the park encompasses.
That being said, we still try to make the expedition as relaxing as possible, with comfortable accommodation, good foo
d and friendly atmosphere.
Where possible, our birding safaris are conducted in open safari vehicles to maximise the spotting opportunities.
WildFrontier Safaris will supply a birding expert on board the vehicle to make your birding safari with us an informed and entertaining experience, and ensuring you have the greatest chance of finding the more elusive species.
Birding clubs and birding associations are welcome to make group bookings and would qualify for a discount.
Even if you are not part of a birding club, but make a booking for 4 or more people, you will also receive a discounted price.
